SaaS for remote assessments of ecosystem state and biodiversity impacts
Diversify is a spin-off project from the University of Tartu's Macroecology Research group. We are developing a software solution, based on cutting edge biodiversity science, to assess biodiversity impacts of land use change initiatives and to diversify our landscapes, ecosystems and Earth.
Products
We are developing digital solutions that use satellite data and machine learning models, together with ecologically informed algorithms, to assess rapidly biodiversity state and impact of planned activities in any location and ecosystem of the world.
Above all, our solutions are based on top-level biodiversity science, i.e., thorough knowledge on the formation, distribution, and measurement of biodiversity.
A tool for Carbon Credits
Creating carbon credits through forestry, agriculture, or any land-use change can have a general positive impact on nature in addition to sequestering carbon from the atmosphere.
However, misguided actions can significantly harm nature, such as introducing unsuitable species or afforesting ecosystems that are not appropriate for such interventions.
To ensure greenwashing-free reputation of carbon credits in the eyes of buyers and verifiers, demonstrating the overall positive impact on biodiversity and ecosystems as a whole has become increasingly important.
Our assessment allows to prove the quality of carbon credits and frees one from the need for in-house biodiversity expertise.
